When you start a new e-learning project, you may wonder whether it’s worth the time and effort to draft and review a storyboard with your stakeholders and subject matter experts. And even if you decide to draft a storyboard, you need to figure out what to put in it and how much detail it needs to include.

So, for this month’s Ask a Trainer episode, I invited Kevin Thorn to join me to tackle your questions about storyboarding for e-learning. Enjoy!

I write the script, storyboard and develop eLearning, but the final product always turns out quite different than the original vision, because I think of better ways to present the content during development. But the storyboard is still a necessary step to at least get started and show stakeholders.

Thank you for this episode. I really liked the blueprint comparison and the role of the designer as the architect and the stakeholders as the homeowners on a house building project analogy.
